PADI Open Water Diver Course

Take the PADI Open Water Diver certification and become a part of the global diving community. The certification is recognised worldwide and opens the door to some of the most spectacular and exciting experiences you'll find anywhere.

British owned and staffed... M.A.D. Divers

  • We are a British owned and staffed diving center. Unlike other centers, all our instructors are British, so you are assured of the same standards of service you'd get back home.
  • To safeguard safety and quality, we limit initial class sizes to 2 students per instructor, only moving to 3:1 or 4:1 for the last day of the course. Most local centers start with 4 students per instructor from the first day.

Requirements

  • You need to be in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water.
  • Minimum age 10 years old.

What does the course involve?

  • Your will develop knowledge of diving, such as how changes in water pressure affect divers and about marine life interactions.
  • In shallow water you'll be taught how to use the equipment - it's easier than it looks!
  • There will be 4 dives in deeper water, where you use the skills you developed earlier to visit this other world.

How long will it take?

  • Typically the course takes 2 half-days plus one longer day. There are also some self-study exercises to complete.
  • Alternatively, take advantage of our Home Study Programme and complete the self-study exercises in the UK prior to your departure, reducing the courses to only 3 half-days.
