PADI Scuba Diver Course

If you really want a diver certification but think that the PADI Open Water Diver course is too time consuming, why not complete the PADI Scuba Diver certification in half the time? The only differences in the certification obtained are that PADI Scuba Divers must always dive with a professional and are limited to 12m maximum depth compared to 18m for a PADI Open Water Diver.

British owned and staffed... M.A.D. Divers

  • We are a British owned and staffed diving center. Unlike other centers, all our instructors are British, so you are assured of the same standards of service you'd get back home.
  • To safeguard safety and quality, we limit our class sizes to 2 students per instructor, rather than 4:1 like some other centers

Requirements

  • You need to be in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water
  • Minimum age: 10

What does the course involve?

  • Some short basic theory about how to dive safely
  • The most critical skills from the Open Water course are taught in shallow water
  • 2 dives in deeper water under the direct supervision of your instructor.

How long will it take?

  • Typically 2 afternoons diving and about 8 hours self-study exercises.
  • Alternatively, take advantage of our Home Study Programme and complete the self-study exercises in the UK prior to your departure.
What's the next step?

After completing the Scuba Diver program, you'll may well decide to complete the remainder of the Open Water Diver course and achieve your full diving certification or you may decide simply to do more dives!
